ABOUT

Ventana Lakes

One of the few 55+ communities that does not have a golf course attached to it, Ventana Lakes makes up for it with its 30 acres of nine winding lakes, surrounded by walking trails and parks.

Homeowners fortunate enough to have a waterfront lot can build a personal boat dock. The community allows non-motorized boats and catch and release fishing on the lakes.

Overview

Ventana Lakes is a 55+ retirement community for active adults comprised of 480 carefully manicured acres, including 30 acres of winding lakes. Ventana Lakes was designed with the casual fishing and boating enthusiasts in mind.

Although the community itself is not really that large, the street that runs through the center of it (107th Ave) is the boundary between Peoria and Sun City, so half of Ventana Lakes falls within a Peoria AZ address and the other half falls within a Sun City AZ address.

Building started in the mid 1980′s by Lennar Homes, and was completed by Shea Homes around 2000. In 2017, K. Hovnanian added another 69 homes through their Four Seasons brand, bringing the total number of homes to 1.770.

Ventana Lakes Real Estate

The primary builder at Ventana Lakes was Lennar Homes. They built a variety of home styles and 21 floorplans ranging from 952 – 2,534 SF and built between 1987-2000. There are spacious single family homes, and attached garden homes for those looking for something low maintenance. Of course, the highly sought-after waterfront lots carry a large premium.

Four Seasons at Ventana Lakes

During 2017-2020, K. Hovnanian added 69 homes to the already built-out Ventana Lakes community as part of their 55+ Four Seasons brand. They offered five floorplans ranging from 1,509 to 2,101 SF. The Four Seasons homes have full access to all of the Ventana Lakes amenities.
