Sun City Festival Ranch
Homes for Sale at Sun City Festival Ranch Community Photos of Sun City Festival Vacation Home Rentals in Buckeye

Sun City Festival is about 10 miles west of Surprise, and about 25 miles northwest of Phoenix.- tucked right up against the beautiful White Tank Mountains. Sun City Festival, opened for sales in 2005 and will be another huge Del Webb community offering an incredible range of amenities, with a strong emphasis on health, wellness, and personal enrichment.  Here you'll find resort-style living and everything that you have come to expect from a Sun City.  Younger "active adults" ages 45 or better will be happy to learn that you can purchase a home here!.

Winner of the 2009 "Best Active Adult Community in the Country" by the National Association of Homebuilders, upon completion, Sun City Festival will have 9,000 homesites on 3,100 acres of the 10,000-acre Festival Ranch development, and approximately 16,000 active adult residents. It will contain three community centers, and 36 holes of golf.

Currently the Del Webb division is building the Sun City section of Festival Ranch, and the Pulte division is building the all-ages sections. The Sun City amenities are exclusively for  the active adult residents and are not open to the "all ages" community.

Sun City Festival Amenities Include:

31,000 sq. ft Sage Recreation Center, with two more recreation centers planned Troon-managed 18-hole Copper Canyon Golf Course, with another 18 holes planned Skyline Outdoor Amphitheater Combination Lap and Resort Pool and Spa  State-of-the-art Fitness Center  Tennis Courts  Pickleball Courts Beach Volleyball Playground for grandkids Computer Labs Numerous clubs & activities Cultural Hall

Unique to Sun City Festival is the ASU Lifelong Learning Academy situated in the 31,000 sq. ft. Sage Center for wellness and higher learning. This partnership offers a mix of substantive coursework and casual programs. This gives you the opportunity to delve into your favorite subjects and discover new areas of interest sitting alongside your friends and neighbors.

The closest stores and conveniences are currently about 12 minutes away in Surprise, so it'll take some extra planning for the weekly grocery shopping, and a little extra travel time to see a movie or go out to dinner. In return for the lack of conveniences, the prices are extraodinarily low - about $37 per sq.ft. less than PEBBLECREEK  in Goodyear, (which has lots of nearby conveniences).  On an average 1,600 sq.ft. house, that'll save you around $59,200. It's just a matter of time before the community has enough population to support conveniences, and when the stores start to arrive, prices will shoot up to reflect the increased demand.

Taking the 12 mile drive out Bell Road across nothing but scenic and rugged desert feels like you're leaving the world behind and arriving at your new life. Once you arrive it's so beautiful and well developed, you tend to forget how you got there. People who don't mind the drive will enjoy virtually zero traffic, clean air, serene surroundings, beautiful mountain views, low prices, and a chance to get in on the "ground floor" of what is shaping up to be a stunning community.

Models just opened in 2006, so there is plenty of new home availability. Visitors can browse through 14 models ranging in size from 1,100 sq.ft. to 2,849 sq.ft. and priced from $152,000 - $386,000 (base prices do not include lot premiums, options, design center upgrades, etc).
