Solera Chandler
Solera Chandler offers all of the amenities and activities you’d expect at a Del Webb 55+ community, but on a much smaller, more intimate scale. Large enough for lots of clubs and activities, but small enough to get know all of the friendly neighbors.
Overview
The Del Webb designed Solera in Chandler is a gated 55+ golf retirement community of 1,149 homes. Their Springfield Resort community just a couple miles to the west, sold out quickly, and Del Webb saw the demand for a similar golf community in the area and created Solera.
People age 55+ seeking an active golf retirement community will enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Lone Tree Golf Course weaving throughout the Solera community. The Club House and Grill are the starting point of the public 18 hole championship golf course. Solera has several leagues that play at Lone Tree.
Real Estate at Solera in Chandler
Del Webb built 11 different floorplans at Solera Chandler, ranging from 1,151 sq.ft. to 2,421 sq.ft. All homes have at least 2-bedrooms, 2-baths, and a 2-car garage, and the largest series homes have a den or 3rd bedroom, and a 3rd-car garage.
Some of the smaller lots have walking/biking trails right behind the homes, but most of the homes sit on regular, traditional lots. None of the homes were originally offered with fully fenced backyards, but the HOA allows block wall fencing for those who want it, provided the neighbors don’t object. If you have pets, or prefer more privacy, you might get lucky and find a house that already has a fully fenced yard.
About the South Chandler Area
Solera is located on Riggs Rd, in the southernmost part of Chandler, Arizona. We refer to this section of Chandler as “Retirement Row.,” because along Riggs Rd you’ll find the 55+ active adult retirement communities of Sun Lakes, Springfield Resort, SunBird Golf Resort, and Solera Chandler all within about a five-mile span of each other.
The southern part of the new Loop 202 freeway is approximately 5-7 minutes north of Riggs Rd. The Loop 202 freeway has made this section of the city very accessible, and now downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale is just a short 20-30 minute drive from almost any Chandler community.
In southern Chandler you’ll find all of your favorite stores and restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive, and there are two major shopping centers close by: Chandler Fashion Square Mall, and San Tan Valley Mall are both just a short 10-15 minute drive away for anything and everything you could possibly need or want.
