You are here:
If you drive north on I-17 towards Sedona and Flagstaff, you’ll run into Anthem and Anthem Country Club, located at the northern edge of the Phoenix metro area. Here at Anthem, you’ll find the air a little cleaner and a couple degrees cooler, and the views are beautiful.
Anthem Country Club is part of the mulit-generational Del Webb master-planned community of Anthem. Although it is NOT age-restricted, many younger retirees and empty nesters adore this community and like the younger demographics.
Anthem is dvided into two distinct sections:
Anthem Parkside is the non-gated, more family oriented side of the community, and is located on the south side of Anthem Parkway. Parkside features one and two level homes, the main community center, parks, schools, Big Splash Water Park, and many other things that make Parkside a great family community. Residents of Anthem Parkside do not have access to the private Country Club facilities (unless they join the country club separately).
Anthem Country Club is located on the north side of Anthem Parkway and surrounds the two pristine 18-hole golf courses. This guard-gated community consists of all single-level homes, and residents have automatic social membership into the Country Club, including use of all of the private country club amenities.
As an Anthem Country Club resident, you’ll enjoy your own private, exclusive amenities for “The Club” residents only, while also having use of the many amenities at the all-ages community of Anthem Parkside.
All residents have automatic social membership in the country club. Full golf membership is extra, and is open to residents and non-residents of Anthem Country Club.
Anthem Country Club has two 18-hole championship golf courses that wind through the community. Both the Persimmon course and the Ironwood course have their own clubhouse, pool, spa, tennis courts, restaurant, bar, workout room and pro shop.
All Anthem Country Club residents are automatically social members, which gives you access to all of the facilities at both clubhouses and limited golf. A full golf membership is required for unlimited golfing privileges.
As a resident of Anthem Country Club you can enjoy:
The calendar at Anthem Golf & Country Club is full all year long with lessons, classes, golf and tennis tournaments, unique dining offerings and formal and informal events. Happy hour is big at Anthem Country Club on Friday and Saturday and is an excellent way to meet your fellow residents and golfers.
Whether you’re looking for a small second home or a fine luxury home with all of the bells and whistles, Anthem Country Club has a floorplan that fits most needs and budgets.
All homes at Anthem Country Club are single-level detached houses ranging in size from 1,000 sq.ft. to about 4,600 sq.ft. Many homes offer 2.5 or 3-car garages, detached guest casitas, fine luxury finishes, and gorgeous golf course or mountain views.
Prices are surprisingly affordable given the quality of the lifestyle and overall appeal of the community.
Anthem Country Club sold out in 2006, and all homes were constructed from 1999 – 2006.
Anthem Golf and Country Club offers two full-length championship courses designed by Greg Nash. Both courses have their own clubhouse, full golf practice areas with all-grass driving ranges, short game areas and large putting greens. Both courses offer dramatic elevations, great views, multiple bunkers and large undulating greens all set against a mountainous, Sonoran desert backdrop.
Both the Persimmon Course and the Ironwood Course stretch more than 7,200 yards from the back tees and are true desert layouts. The Persimmon Course has a more traditional layout and features a signature 18,000-square-foot double green that serves both the ninth and 18th holes. The more challenging Ironwood tests the lower-handicap players, in particular when they arrive at the “Anthem Corner,” the 10th through 12th holes that play around water to a par of 4, 3 and 5.
The natural Sonoran Desert, views of Daisy Mountain, saguaro cacti and beautiful foothills provide a lush backdrop for the 36 holes of golf that Anthem offers and is a perfect match for your passion for golf.
Anthem is a HUGE non-age restricted master-planned community developed by Del Webb and is home to about 22,000 residents. Del Webb has opened several “Anthem” communities across the country, and all are beautiful, well designed, award-winning communities.
Anthem in North Phoenix contains grocery stores, pharmacies, medical centers, restaurants and more. On the west side of I-17 you’ll find a Wal-Mart, and the Outlet Shops at Anthem. Downtown Phoenix is a short 20-30 minute drive straight south on I-17. Popular destinations like Sedona, Prescott and Flagstaff are about 60 to 90 minutes, going straight north on I-17.
